Students were given their Novel Project assignment today. This is due on November 4th, so everyone has time to read create. I have given the students the opportunity to choose a book to read that they want to read rather than a book that I assign. Hopefully this will engage them. Additionally, they can choose the project that best fits their learning/assessment style.

I have scheduled weekly reminders for this project and due date.

We will begin our next reading and students will write a compare/contrast essay next week. I try not to given students additional work outside of class, but it students do not capitalize on their class time, then there is no other option.

We will continue to read and write in preparation for the next step and the next group of standards!
