3, 5, 6 Periods

Monday & Tuesday - I have provided feedback on the students' "The Tell-Tale Heart" essays. Using that feedback, students will work on making revisions and adding necessary elements prior to being graded. We will work in the computer lab on Monday and Tuesday to accomplish this task. Final essays are due on Wednesday. They will be shared via Office 365 by class time on Wednesday.

Wednesday-Thursday

Students will be working on a personal narrative. To assist with this task, students were given model personal narratives, a graphic that outlines the narrative, and a rubric for assessment.

The prompt for the topis is "Think about a time you succeeded at something that was hard for you to do. It could be something you finally learned how to do at school or in a game. It could also be a new way of behaving at home. Write about what happened the day you changed.

Friday:

Students will have a literary terms test.

4th Period

Monday & Tuesday: Students will review the short story "The Night I Won the Rights to the Streets of Memphis." As a class, they will fill out a literary content sheet. Their final assessment on this story will be a paragraph about the theme.
