Monday-Students will work to finish their paired passage of "Dear Momma" and "Mother to Son"-the analysis will be due at the end of the class on Monday.
Tuesday-Wednesday
Working independently, or with a peer, students will analyze a song and a poem. Using a poster board, students will have their poem and song printed, they will paraphrase, determine, theme, speaker, tone, setting, and determine poetic devices used in both poem and song.
On Monday & Wednesday of our final week before the break, students will present their project to the class.
Thursday-Friday
Writing QPA
Reading QPA
4th
Fourth period will be reading Trifles, a on-act play. While reading, they will track characterization of Mrs. Wright, a character accused of killing her husband.
After reading, students will write a constructed response discussing how the playwright uses characterization to reveal Mrs. Wright's motivation.
All classes will continue to review grammar concepts targeted this nine week period.
