This week students will continue reading Ben Carson's memoir. Students are tracking the features of a memoir, focusing on Carson's message in each chapter. As students read, they turn in 6 quotes to use as text evidence of main idea, theme, or focus.
On Friday, students will have read and tracked chapters 1-6. Anyone not getting finished with this will take home a book and complete independently.
Our grammar focus this week is on participles and students will have a quiz on Friday.
I have pulled vocabulary from Carson's book that might be problematic for students. The first 10 words will be assessed on Monday. I have scheduled a remind for Sunday.
