Assessments this week: Monday, quiz on Vocabulary A, ten words
Thursday, Gerund Quiz
Friday, Vocabulary B Quiz, 11 words
Students will continue to read Carson's memoir and track the features of memoir, focusing on Carson's theme.
Students will practice their understanding of gerunds, and the second set of vocabulary from Carson's memoir.
Students should be through chapter 10 Friday, including their text evidence examples.
As students finish their work, they will read the remainder of Carson's book independently, and should be prepared to choose a chapter to write about theme--what is the message behind Carson's chapters.
Additionally, we will continue to focus on skills to assist students will QPA and GMAS assessment.
